ANSWERS

HOW DO I UNSUBSCRIBE?

It depends on how you subscribed. Here’s how to unsubscribe:

>> PayPal or credit card subscription: Many of our subscribers use PayPal because that’s who does our credit-card processing. If you’re paying directly via your PayPal account, or by credit card, your PayPal account allows you to control everything about your subscription, such as starting, suspending and stopping it, and it walks you through the process, step by step. When you unsubscribe that way, we’re notified automatically.

>> Invoice/Cheque subscription: If you subscribed by the invoice/cheque method, just send us a note by clicking here or on the Contact link at the top of the page, and let us know what you’d like to do.
  >> If you’d like to just pause for a while, let us know from when to when, and whether you want your stories held until you resume, and we’ll take care of it.
 >>  If you want to unsubscribe, just let us know; if there’s any balance remaining in your subscription, we’ll refund it to you.

>> I don’t remember how I subscribed! It’s OK, we do. Send us an email by clicking here or on the Contact link at the top of the page, and ask the question. All of these queries are handled by nice humans, not computers, so a response won’t occur instantaneously. We usually respond on the same day, but you might not receive a response until the next business day. You can also phone us using the number on the Contact page, if you want. A nice human will answer.

 • Change the email address of one of my subscribers?
 • Add or subtract the number of people who subscribe through me?
 • What’s the cost of doing this?

>> Changing the number of subscriptions will mean a change to the overall cost of your subscription. Depending on whether you are adding or subtracting subscribers, it could mean a refund, a credit or an additional charge.

 >> Replacing one email address with another is free. Exchanging one subscriber for another is also free. Just let us know the new address or the new person’s name and email address. Simple!

In either situation, just let us know by clicking here or the Contact link at the top of any of our web pages and tell us what you’d like to do. We’ll reply with confirmation or more information. As all of this is handled by nice humans, not computers, it won’t occur instantaneously.

Administrators of group subscriptions: As administrator, you can add, replace or subtract any of the subscriptions you administer just by sending us an email note, and we’ll send you instructions about how the billing will be adjusted to compensate, if it does. This is done for your security. There’s no additional fee or charge for making the adjustments, just the change in the subscription’s value.

  >>  Replacing one email address with another is free. Exchanging one subscriber for another is also free.

 >>  If an email to one of the subscribers on your list bounces, we’ll notify you using the administrator’s email address you provided to us.

 >>  If any of your group contacts us directly on a matter that affects the subscription, we’ll confirm with you as administrator before making any changes they might request. Also for your security.

The phone number is just another way of contacting you if a problem comes up involving your email address. If all we have is your email address and your news begins bouncing, it can be tough to track you down and let you know what’s going if we don’t have the number, and meanwhile you’re getting more and more annoyed wondering where your news service is.

We also need it to make the Canada Revenue Agency happy, because otherwise we’d have to charge you 15% tax under its arcane rules. And, no, we don’t automatically give them your information. They need a legal reason to ask for it.

If you think you were wrongly invoiced, or the wrong amount appeared on your credit-card statement, just let us know about it by clicking here or the Contact link at the top of any of our web pages, and what you’d like us to do. All of these queries are handled by nice humans, not computers, so a response won’t occur instantaneously. We usually respond on the same day, but you might not receive a response until the next business day. You can also phone us, if you want. A nice human will answer.

There’s no risk. At all. The first month of your subscription is free. Take it for a test drive; see what you think. Any subscriber can cancel at any time. If the invoice has been paid and you decide to cancel, the unused portion of the subscription will be refunded. Simple.

Send us an email. Click here or the Contact link at the top of any of our web pages, and ask away. We usually respond on the same day, but you might not receive a response until the next business day. You can also phone us, if you want, using the number on the Contact page.
